Mulberry Cottage Revisited
Inspired by What We Learned about Life Living through Mulberry Cottage
A Book is forming with the desire to continue to serve with the rich "compost" of life learnings provided from the many experiences and surprises of a Waldorf EarlyChildhood Backyard Program that grew in the suburbs of Silicon Valley. The Essences of what supports Life became clear through considering the many years and explorations that were the gift of Mulberry Cottage and these Essential underpinnings can be applied to any human endeavor. It is the desire to bring these forward for the human community of this world so that we are aligned with boringness for all the Earth. I am so excited to unfold the sharing here throughout this website and in other ways as the book develops and forms. It is hoped that the inspirations of the content can be activated for your Life now in service of those you serve!
"The kernel of what formed into Mulberry Cottage
has come from a commitment to ask
What is a home?
What is needed as a foundation for a warm, healthy hearth?
These are questions continually asked. In addition,
how can 'homes' join in their workings to form supportive environments?
With these questions in the foremost, Mornings Together, was formed (first Mulberry Cottage program, bread making, singing for parents and children).
Thus, from a very personal enquiry, out of our home life,
something has been offered to others."
(from 'Dear Families' letter Feb. 2001)

"And so this great humbling, the more you know. I’ve spent my whole life reading about organisms and learning about them and living in and amongst them. And the more you know, the more you realize, all you can do is try to be hospitable. Literally, help the helpers."
